Paid IT assessment

The IT assessment that turns guesswork into a plan.

A bdManagedIT paid IT assessment is a documented review of your technology, security, and risk that ends with a clear, prioritized roadmap, and it is yours to keep whether or not you hire us. It is the qualification step before a managed IT partnership, and a straight answer on its own.

What we assess

A complete picture of your technology and risk.

We look at six areas that decide whether your IT helps the business or quietly holds it back.

Infrastructure & network

Servers, workstations, firewalls, and Wi-Fi, with their age, warranty status, and the failures waiting to happen.

Security posture

MFA, endpoint protection, patching, email filtering, and access controls, scored against how attackers actually get in.

Backup & continuity

Whether your backups exist, are tested, and could actually restore your business after ransomware or hardware failure.

Cloud & Microsoft 365

Licensing, configuration, and security of your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant, and what you are paying for but not using.

Compliance exposure

Where you stand against HIPAA, PCI, CJIS, FTC Safeguards, NIST CSF, or cyber-insurance requirements, with the gaps documented.

Strategy & spend

Whether your IT spend matches your goals, and the roadmap that gets you from reactive to planned.

What you walk away with

A deliverable you own, not a sales pitch.

A documented gap list

Every risk and shortfall we find, written down in plain English, so nothing important stays hidden.

A risk ranking

What to fix first, ranked by likelihood and business impact, so you spend on what matters.

A prioritized roadmap

A phased plan with timelines, so you can budget and act with confidence.

Yours to keep

The findings are yours whether or not you hire us. No lock-in, no pressure.

How the assessment works

Three steps, no disruption to your team.

1

Short scoping call

A quick conversation to understand your environment and what is driving the assessment.

2

On-site and remote review

We examine your systems, security, backups, and documentation, on-site and through monitoring tools.

3

Findings and roadmap

We walk you through the documented gaps, the risk ranking, and a prioritized plan you own.

IT assessment, frequently asked questions

What is a paid IT assessment?
A paid IT assessment is a documented review of your technology, security, backups, and compliance that ends with a prioritized roadmap. Unlike a quick sales walkthrough, it is a deliverable you keep, whether or not you become a managed IT client.
What does the IT assessment include?
We review your infrastructure and network, security posture, backup and continuity, Microsoft 365 or cloud setup, and compliance exposure. You receive a written gap list, a risk ranking, and a phased roadmap with timelines you can budget against.
How long does the assessment take?
Most assessments for a small or mid-sized business run one to two weeks from the scoping call to the findings review, depending on the size of your environment and how much documentation already exists.
Is my data safe during the assessment?
Yes. We review configuration, security, and risk, not your private files or customer data. We sign a confidentiality agreement before we begin, and as a Microsoft Solutions Partner and ThreatLocker Gold Partner we hold ourselves to the same controls we recommend.
Do I have to become a managed IT client afterward?
No. The assessment and its roadmap are yours to keep and act on however you choose, including with your current IT provider. Many businesses use it as a second opinion. If we are the right fit, the roadmap becomes the basis for a managed IT plan.
How is this different from your free online tools?
The free calculators and self-assessments give you an instant directional read in minutes. The paid IT assessment is a hands-on, documented engagement: we examine your actual systems and produce an evidence-based plan, not an estimate.
Is this the same as a cybersecurity risk assessment?
It includes one. Our assessment runs a cybersecurity risk assessment, reviewing your security posture, exposure, and the controls attackers test, alongside infrastructure, backups, and compliance. If security is your main concern, we can scope the engagement to focus there and rank your risks by likelihood and business impact.
How much does an IT assessment cost?
It is scoped to the size and complexity of your environment, so we quote it after a short scoping call rather than publishing a one-size price. You will know the exact cost and what it covers before anything is agreed.

Stop guessing about your IT.

Book a short scoping call and we will tell you exactly what the assessment covers and costs for your business. No obligation.
